My Story
My name is Mark Anthony Jones and I am from Durham NC. I am a gospel singer who loves Jesus and I love to sing his praises. It has always been in my heart to make a Personal CD in which I would record the songs that God had placed in my heart over the years. I am so thankful that my dreams have come to fruition. The music on this CD speaks to real life situations and encourages you to keep on trusting in God. It is my prayer that this CD will bless you and people all over this world regardless of race.
I feel immensely blessed and favored that God has allowed me to use my voice as an instrument of praise for over 50 years whether in the church choir, in musical groups or just singing as a soloist. I have even had the pleasure to sing in a talent show on a Carnival Cruise Ship. I had the opportunity to record with a group in the late 70's call The New Christianair's and also with my formal church choir The Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. On some of the songs I was blessed to have been featured on lead. The groups that I sung with had the opportunity to open gospel shows for many professional groups. In 2013 I traveled with a church choir from Union Baptist Church to Washington D.C. at the invitation of Congressman G. K. Butterfield to perform as one of the invited Southern choirs for the National Black Caucus' Conference Gospel Singing Extravaganza. During that same year the church choir was asked to accompany the internationally talented singer Ken as he performed for a sold-out crowd of several thousands.
It is my prayer that God will continue to bless this CD and I pray that he will continue to allow me to be an instrument for him. It is my plan to continue to write songs not only for myself but also for other groups and soloist.. It is my hearts desire that one or more of the songs I have written will continue to be a blessing for people all over this world for decades.
